About the Recipe

A plant based alternative to your typical yogurts.

Ingredients

  • Soya base (Water, Hulled soya beans (10.4%))

  • Coconut milk (4.3%) (Coconut cream, Water)

  • Sugar

  • Calcium (Tri-calciumcitrate)

  • Acidity regulators (Sodium citrates, Citric acid)

  • Stabiliser (Pectins)

  • Natural flavouring

  • Sea salt

  • Antioxidants (Tocopherol-rich extract, Fatty acid esters of ascorbic acid)

  • Vitamins (B12, D2)

  • Yogurt cultures (S. thermophilus, L. bulgaricus).

Preparation

  1. First, sterilize all the tools (refer to FAQs for the method).

  2. Then, combine the cornstarch with 1-2 Tablespoons of coconut milk in a small bowl and whisk until lump-free. You can sieve it to remove the lumps if needed. You can add the starch directly to the pan, but it’ll be harder to get out the lumps.

  3. With Probiotics: Combine the yogurt powder starter or probiotic capsule contents with a tablespoon of the cooled coconut milk. Then mix it until lump-free.

  4. Then, pour that into the remaining warm coconut milk and stir.

  5. With Coconut Yogurt: Add the coconut yogurt directly to the warm milk and mix well.

  6. Transfer the warm coconut milk mixture to your desired glass jar/s. Then leave them to incubate in a warm, draft-free area.
